The WES-MAC PTO raises and spends $60,000.00 annually on enrichment programs and materials for the children in both the Westport Elementary School and the Macomber Primary School. The decisions on where and how this money is spent is discussed and decided on during the PTO's monthly meetings. Some examples are field trips, assemblies and playground equipment. As a parent you are automatically enrolled as a PTO member with voting privileges. There are no fees or dues. Go to their next meeting and let your voice be heard.

Don't forget the Specialists...or the Nurse!

When donating tissues, hand sanitizer or Clorox Wipes don't for get the Nurse and the Art, Music, Gym and Computer teachers. The specialitsts classrooms are visited by over 600 students a week. They regularly pay out of pocket for items to help keep your children healthy. The nurse is in charge of making sure over 600 students use hand sanitizer when they come in from recess and sit down for lunch.

Next time your doing your grocery shopping consider picking up an extra item for them. Be sure to write the teachers name on the item so they are not accidentally given to their homeroom teacher.
