Ornament - "a rock orchestra" specializing in a Tribute to the TransSiberian Orchestra. The story is heart warming and the music is phenomenal. This year as a special treat, some members of the middle school chorus are performing in the show. And our own Middle School band teacher, Chris Nunes is a member of the band. This performance will take place on December 5th, at 7:00 at Westport High School. Tickets are 10.00 for adults and 7.00 for students and seniors if purchased before December 5th.

All tickets sold at the door will be 10.00. Call Denise Weaver at 508-636-1335 or Chris Nunes at 508-636-1090. There will be snacks and beverages sold during intermission. If you would like to donate an item please contact Denise Weaver. All proceeds from this performance benefit the Westport Music Boosters who support the music programs in our four Westport Schools. Nancy has illustrated over twenty books and has authored four. Geology Walk with Josh King and the WRWA. Mr. King will be leading a walk to Gooseberry Island and Cherry & Webb Beach where he will be discussing various geological features of the area along the way.  Both Gooseberry Island and Cherry & Webb Beach have gone through many changes resulting from natural and manufactured processes.  Mr. King will teach participants about how the features formed and also the changes they go through year to year, season to season, and day to day.  Participants will meet at Gooseberry Island where Josh will tell us about the Island, and then carpool over to Cherry & Webb.  This is a free event sponsored by the Westport River Watershed Alliance. Josh King earned his B.S. in Geology at Keene State College and then went on to study geology in the field in Montana and geophysics in New Mexico.   He then received his Masters in Science in Geophysics from Texas A&M University in 2004 and now works for Hager GeoScience, Inc. a geophysical science firm, in Woburn, MA.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: The Coalition for Buzzards Bay, 620 Belleville Avenue, New Bedford is in need of volunteers to help them with a mailing on Tuesday, November 18th and possibly the 19th in the basement level office. This large mailing requires many hands. Please consider lending one. They have created "shifts" in an effort to better accommodate their needs and volunteers availability. Suggested shifts are 9:30 - 1:00 or 1:00 - 4:30 but I am sure they will take all the help they can get when ever you can offer it. Please email Lynn Coish if you are interested in helping.

Westport Business to Business will be holding their November General Meeting at the Westport Council on Aging, 75 Reed Road. Mary Ellen Gomes, director of the COA, will discribe the activities and programs offered at the COA. Guest speakers are Charlie and Wayne from Sticks, Stones, Stars, Stones, 782 Main Road who represent more than 20 artisians in the greater Westport area. Several of the artisians will attend along their wares. Wayne will also do a pottery demonstration.
 
The meeting is open to WBTB members, non-members, and anyone interested in learning more about the WBTB, WCOA and Sticks, Stones and Stars. The dinner is being catered by Brantel's Restaurant of Tiverton.
