“Beyond the Barways” Walk

Barways are those inviting openings in stone walls and fences that lure us to the fields and paths ahead. The Trustees of Reservations and the Westport Land Conversation Trust will offer a guided walk on protected, privately owned land not normally open to the public on Saturday, January 21st at 1:00 pm.

Learn about land protection from the experts and get a rare glimpse of open space preserved for Westport’s future. Explore farm fields, woodlands and saltmarsh along the Westport River’s scenic West Branch. Be prepared for uneven ground and grand surprises! The group will meet at the Trustee's offices, 1100 Main Rd.

Registration and payment are required in advance. The walk is free for trustees and WLCT members and $5 for non-members. To register, or for more information, call 508-636-4693, ext. 13.
