Fly with Westport's Osprey Hudson, Ozzie and Hix as they Migrate from Westport to South America

Join the Westport River Watershed Alliance and the Allens Pond Wildlife Sanctuary in tracking three Westport Osprey as they migrate from Westport to South America. Visit www.westportosprey.org and see how far Hudson, Ozzie and Hix have traveled.  This new information is the result of having installed miniature transmitters on the backs of three birds, two male adults and one fledgling. These transmitters record each hour during the daylight just where the bird is, transmit that information to a satellite which then transmits it back to a computer on earth.  They download it onto their computers and generate maps on Google Earth images to show where the birds have been.

For more information on the tracking email Becky Cushing of  Mass Audubon or Charlie Gerrior of  Westport River Watershed Alliance. You will need JavaScript enabled to view it "Come fly with Hudson, Ozzie and Hix, three wired Westport Osprey."
